Turndown the heat to low and keep the juice at 190 F for 5 minutes. Add sugar if using, and stir to dissolve. Ladle the hot juice into prepared jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Apply canning lids and screw-on rings to finger tight. Process in a water bath canner for 15 minutes for half-pints, pints, and quarts. 1 Kiwi. Kiwi and strawberry make a great combination. Although kiwi is a bit tarter, it balances the sweetness of strawberry to create a harmony of flavors. Similar to strawberries, kiwi is also soft in texture. It's best to put it in the blender along with your strawberries to add body to the texture. Placeall ingredients in a blender, breaking the banana into pieces. Blend until creamy and frothy, stopping and scraping down the sides as necessary. If desired, garnish with a frozen strawberry and mint sprig. Simmer the jam until it thickens. Now you can uncover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Keep simmering the jam for 35-45 minutes. Startby muddling four strawberries in a cocktail shaker. Add Hennessy and lime juice then shake well. Strain into a glass filled with ice and then top with bubbles. Either club soda or Champagne. If you're looking for a non-alcoholic version of this drink, simply omit the Hennessy and add an extra ounce of club soda. Recipe Prepare strawberries, or other soft summer fruits (see Jam tips, below), then layer, without stirring or bruising, in a non-metallic bowl with the sugar. Strain the lemon juice and drizzle Whiskin 1/2 cup of room-temperature reduced strawberry puree, making sure there are no lumps at the bottom of the bowl. The batter will be slightly thick.
